Glamping at Leeds
For me Summer in the UK means one thing. GLAMPING.
Think Tipi’s, fruit cider, and late night fires surrounded by friends.
If I was to write about everything we did, all the acts we saw, and the highs and lows of Leeds Festival we’d be here all night.
So instead I’m going to just pop up the highlights of the weekend.
0mph stuck in Festival traffic. (Hand attacked with transfer tattoo’s from Topshop to get into the festival spirit!)
Our home for the weekend!
We’d pre booked our little ‘house’ from here. Ideal if you’re like me, and aren’t quite hard core enough to go a full weekend in a tent!
Comes with private showers & toilets, two beds, somewhere to plug your phone and a little table outside.
A little tip from me… it will be cold at night. Don’t try and warm up your feet over the camp fire whilst you still have your wellies on. The Burberry’s only just made it out alive!
We celebrated our arrival with some sneaky Prosseco.
Don’t attempt to move the hot coal on the fire with your bare hands… Yes, that is a Spongebob plaster.
Get a programme and work out who you want to see. Some acts will be playing at the same time, so potentially you could miss someone you’re keen to watch.
We sang the evening away to The Arctic Monkeys, and Blink 182, and Macklemore. (Sang/ screamed, and woke up the next day with no voices.)
After a comfortable(ish) night Glamping, we woke up the next morning hoarse, but ready for the day.
On the way to the main stage we noticed a tent set up to celebrate Friends 20th Anniversary, and I won a signed Friends box set!
A very cool prize, but not ideal for carrying round a festival!
Our second day was spent at the main stage, drinking too much & not taking enough photos…
Evening quickly came, and night two was dodgems and gossiping with hot chocolates over the fire. I know, I am a rubbish 20 something year old.
An amazing weekend. The sun was shining, our ears were ringing, and it was time to head home…
