Final Night at La Mamounia
I last left you guys poolside, so I’d better pick up from there and fill you in on our final night at La Mamounia, Marrakech.
Sad to leave our little piece of Moroccan heaven, we made the most of our last night and got dolled up ready for an evening of yet more surprises.
It’s driving me CRAZY but for the life of me, I can’t remember the name of the restaurant we were taken to.
If it comes back to me, I’ll pop it in the comments underneath the post. Even better, if you recognise it – please let me know!
Very dark, (but beautiful) candle lit entrance…
A magician at the table, making our most valuable possessions disappear (we got them back, don’t worry!)
Food followed shortly, which was wolfed down alongside lots of wine. (We had the steak, it was perfect.)
After food we celebrated the night away; with speeches, sand artists, and a live band.
The party animals headed out to the club afterwards, me and Sam headed home early with a couple of the others.
We arrived back at La Mamounia, ordered more wine and kicked back for the night.
The next morning we packed our cases (sulking), and after having a little lie in, headed downstairs for lunch.
(What I would give for that Moet Ice right now!!)
Lunch done, it was time to jump in the cars back to the jet…
This trip has been one of my favourite to date, and not one I’ll be forgetting in a hurry.
Same time next year? …
